I am currently at a bit of an artist's block. I am very keen to paint and really want to start a new series but find myself lacking inspiration and ideas.
Finding inspiration can be a tricky process as visiting art galleries and exploring art on Instagram are great sources of inspiration for me, but can sometimes make me feel at a bit of a loss. There are so many unique and interesting works of art out there that it can be hard to not believe that everything has already been done so there's not point in trying.
Realistically, I know this isn't true and of course not everything has already been done and creating some new artworks would definitely make me feel better. It's just the matter of making a start on that.
I've recently been drawn to street paintings and architectural studies so I think I'm going to find my inspiration from the streets and buildings that are local to me.
I have added some photographs below that I took around town (Aberystwyth) that give me ideas for paintings.
